Russell Wilson is finally back for the Seattle Seahawks and will lead them into Green Bay for a date with Aaron Rodgers the Packers. Kickoff from Lambeau Field is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET on CBS. Jim Nance and Tony Romo will be on the call, which means this is a gigantic game. We should bet it.

The Seahawks got a much needed 31-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in their last action. They’ve had plenty of time to get rested as they had a bye in Week 9. As for the Packers, they will be happy to get Aaron Rodgers back after Jordan Love led them to a 13-7 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.

The Green Bay Packers are now 3-point favorites in this one and should close around that number. In terms of total, bettors are seeing 49s across the board. As always, there are plenty of player props to consider and that is what we will talk about here.

We Have to Love Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones is my guy. He’s been one of my favorites for years now which is why he’s a mainstay on my fantasy team every year. I’ve literally watched every game the man has played for the past four years so I consider myself an expert of all things Aaron Jones. Especially his ability in the pass game.

He’s been doing stuff like this for years.

I love a good running back in the pass game prop and we’ve got a good one in this game. After a week without catching a single pass without Aaron Rodgers, Jones will have his guy back under center. Even if he doesn’t, I still think the Packers utilize the running back in the pass game on Sunday. Keep in mind, AJ Dillon caught four balls for 44 yards last week.

Jones usually gets the work in the pass game so I’m not counting Dillon’s stat line from last week. It was a fluke. On the season, Jones has been the one to get the work through the air and he’s gone over 48 receiving yards three times. We can’t forget about him on Sunday.

The reason we can’t forget about him is because only two teams have given up more receiving yards to opposing running backs this season than the Seahawks. Just last game Carlos Hyde went for 40 yards against them. The game before that, Alvin Kamara went for 128 and the game before that Najee Harris went for 46. I think we should go with Jones over 40+ for +230 on FanDuel.

  • The Pick: Aaron Jones Over 40+ receiving yards (+230) wager 1 unit to win 2.3 units
  • SBD 2021 NFL Player Props Record: 16-16, +.62 Units

Who Scores?

Touchdown scorer props are the most electric bet in the NFL. I say it every week and then I’m proven right. Bettors are still seemingly “in the game” no matter what since our guy can almost always score. Even if it’s unlikely, it still can happen.

While all that may be true, at the end of the day, an Aaron Jones touchdown always seems likely.

So far this season, only two running backs in the NFL have more red zone carries than Aaron Jones. The Packers love him close to the goal line and he’s a threat to score on the ground or through the air at any given time. In fact, he actually has more touchdown receptions this season than touchdown runs.

Even at -115, I still think this bet has value.
