  • With all 16 games being played on Sunday of Week 17, there are plenty of props available
  • Our props went 4-4 last time, winning 0.62 units
  • Have a look at every major player prop available for Week 17 and see our best bets

There are three weeks in the NFL season that prove to be the most difficult to bet: Week 1, Week 2, and Week 17. The latter lands on this list because you have many teams resting starters, and differing motivations for each team.

As a result, there are a limited number of player props offered as sportsbooks aren’t sure how much certain players will play. But I’ve weeded through what is available to provide you with my best prop bets.

But first, you’ll find all the passing, rushing, and receiving props available in the table below, and then the touchdown props below that.

Odds as of January 3

George Kittle Finishes Season on a High Note

When George Kittle broke his foot in early November, we did not expect to see him again this season. When the 49ers were eliminated from playoff contention in Week 15, it was all but certain the team would pull the plug on a possible Kittle return.

But here we are. Kittle returned to the lineup last week, catching four of five targets for 92 yards. The star tight end now faces a Seahawks defense who held him to just 39 yards on two catches before Kittle left the game early with the broken foot.

Seattle ranks 14th in receiving yards allowed to tight ends, averaging just 51.8 per game. But that’s not reason to worry about Kittle’s production today. He’s San Francisco’s clear no. 1 option in the passing game, and he won’t be competing for targets with Brandon Aiyuk, who has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Kittle is averaging 80.9 receiving yards per game this season, and I foresee Kyle Shanahan wanting to reward his star for working so hard to get back on the field.

Pick: George Kittle over 60.5 receiving yards (-112) – 1 unit

Darren Waller Roasts Broncos Defense

In his last four games, Darren Waller is averaging 11.3 targets, 8.5 receptions, and 134.3 receiving yards per game. On Sunday, he gets a Broncos defense that held him to just 37 yards on three catches.

But that wasn’t really a matter of Denver playing great defense against him. It was due to Las Vegas running the ball 41 times because they were up big on the scoreboard and the Broncos couldn’t slow them down on the ground.

With this game being in Denver, I suspect the Broncos to be much more competitive, forcing Derek Carr to put the ball in the air more than 25 times. Vic Fangio’s defense is allowing the 11th-most yards to tight ends this season, surrendering 53.9 receiving yards per game to the position.

Waller has surpassed 61.5 yards in each of his last four, and five of his last six. The over on this one might hit in the first half alone.

Pick: Darren Waller over 61.5 receiving yards (-112) – 1 unit

John Wolford Goes Over His Passing Total

With Jared Goff missing the Rams’ crucial Week 17 clash with the Cardinals, John Wolford will be under center for LA. Wolford is a 25-year-old out of Wake Forest who has never taken an NFL snap to this point. But that doesn’t mean he’s not a serviceable quarterback.

Wolford recently shined in the 2019 preseason and in the now defunct AAF. He’s a mobile quarterback with a strong arm, who I believe will thrive thanks to Sean McVay’s love for play-action and moving the pocket.

Wolford will be without a few weapons on Sunday, however, as Cooper Kupp and Darrell Henderson have been ruled out, and Cam Akers a game-time decision. But the Arizona defense is one Jared Goff just roasted for 351 yards through the air a month ago. I’m not saying Wolford throws for 350+, but I really like him to go over the disrespectful 191.5 line that’s been set for him in a game the Rams are treating as a must-win.

Pick: John Wolford over 191.5 yards (-112) – 1 unit

Picks to Score a Touchdown in Week 17

Here’s who I like to find the end zone and why:

  1. George Kittle anytime touchdown (+190): as I said earlier, Shanahan is going to reward his star for not calling it a year. (0.5 units)
  2. JK Dobbins anytime touchdown (+125): Dobbins is the leader in the Ravens backfield and has scored in five straight games. The fact that we’re still getting plus odds against a bad Bengals team is a steal. (1 unit)
  3. Kyler Murray anytime touchdown (+150): the Cardinals are 7-2 this season when Murray rushes for a touchdown. It’s do-or-die for Arizona against the Rams. (0.5 units)
  4. Mike Williams anytime touchdown (+150): the Chargers big-play wide receiver only has a touchdown in three games this season, totaling four for the year. He was targeted a team-high ten times last week and won’t have Keenan Allen on the field to compete with against a Chiefs team with nothing to play for. (0.5 units)
