  • There are more than 1.1 million people signed up for an event to storm Area 51 on Sep. 20th
  • The US Air Force has responded, suggesting that they will defend Area 51
  • President Donald Trump is unlikely to tweet about it as this looks like a ruse

There’s been a big buzz about Area 51 recently as a number of UFO’s enthusiasts have allegedly decided to storm the gates.

Over a million people have joined the associated Facebook group with plans to storm the mysterious facility on September 20th. The military has already responded, but will President Donald Trump tweet anything about it? Oddsmakers say no.

“Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All Of Us”

Facebook has had it’s ups and downs of late, but one area where they are still strong is connecting groups of people for different events. One group related to Area 51 created an event called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All Of Us” and the reaction has been absolutely incredible.

The invite suggests that attendees will fly out from Lincoln Country, Nevada and meet up at the Area 51 Aline Center tourist attraction. In terms of timing, the goal was to meet at 3 AM PST time on September 20th and at that point – once they are all nearby – coordinate a way into the highly-secure military facility.

The goal is obviously to break into the clandestine facility and find out what is in there – whether it is aliens or new-wave technology. Or if it is fact a place of fiction, then discover that too. However, it’s unclear whether this is merely a ruse or whether it’s serious. More than 1.1 million people are signed up.

Military On High Alert

We’re still a couple of months away from September 20th but the United States military has already responded in hopes of nipping this in the bud. The U.S. Air Force has stated that they stand ready to defend Area 51. Remember that Area 51 is at the foot of Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada.

Whether this Facebook event is a joke or not, the military is taking it seriously. We’re not entirely sure what kind of force or method they would use to stop a million American citizens but it’s pretty clear that they are issuing an early deterrent in case anyone wants to find out.

Will President Trump Tweet About It?

At this point, my bet would be ‘no’. If we were a week away and there were signs that this was serious (maybe flight purchases, other indications that people are actually making the trip), I would consider betting on ‘yes’. However, we’re still two months away and this will probably die down.

If it was real, these guys have been outed and now everyone will be on-guard. If it’s a joke, then this will all fizzle away in the next few weeks and nobody will take it seriously – including the people who RSVPed – once we get closer to the date. Therefore, there’s no need for Trump to get involved.

On top of that, Trump has some bigger fish to fry after some seriously egregious tweets this past week, trade deals with China and the border crisis. He’s probably not paying much attention to this.
