Milan are a team with a great Champions League/European Cup heritage and have won it no less than seven times – only Real Madrid have won more – but have not appeared in the knockout phase of the tournament since 2013-14. The win over Wolves took Chelsea up to fourth in the EPL table – eight points behind leaders Arsenal – and their early-season troubles appear to be behind them. Potter has settled in well and his team are starting to play the type of attractive football that became his trademark at Brighton.
