All odds taken June 18

Pick 1: Slutsksakhar Slutsk vs Neman Grodno

Four weeks ago, Slutsk were league leaders but six games without a win has seen them drop to ninth in the table. In the opening seven games, they were flying, but while few expected them to stay top for any length of time after such a good start no-one expected their fall from grace to be quite so dramatic.

Last weekend, they were beaten 3-0 by lowly Gorodeya, in a game in which the score was a fair reflection of their performance. They find themselves in one of those runs where you wonder where the next win is coming from.

Neman Grodno, by contrast, are the league’s most in-form team and have now won four games on the spin; their most recent being a comfortable 2-0 home win over Smolevichi. Worth noting too is that Neman have a game in hand on all of the teams above them and if they win it would go up to third. They are on a roll.

So, while Neman’s winning run has been mainly against bottom-half-of-the-table teams, they still have confidence in abundance and will feel unbeatable right now. They’re still in plus-money at +127 for the win, so this is a no-brainer.

Pick: Neman to win (+127)

Pick 2: Isloch vs Torpedo BelAZ

Isloch’s bad run looks to be over, and after three straight defeats – by BATE, Energetyk, and Dynamo Minsk – they have now drawn with Ruh Brest and beaten FC Minsk. Their poor run had seen them plummet down the table and they’d started to worry about teams below them, but the ship has been steadied and their focus is back on trying to get back into the top three.

Torpedo are three points ahead of them and also have genuine hopes of a European place next season after a really promising first part of the season. They have never finished higher than fourth during a 20-year spell in the top flight, but this could well be the season in which they make the breakthrough, even though they disappointingly lost to Dynamo Brest last weekend.

This one is really tough to call and the odds prove it but, for me, Torpedo’s need to bounce back may tip the balance their way. So, while the draw is tempting, I’m going for a narrow win for the visitors.

Pick: Torpedo to win (+163)

Pick 3: Dynamo Minsk vs Energetyk-BDU

This is an interesting one with Dynamo having won their last two, while Energetyk have lost their last two. So far, Dynamo have not been able to string more than two wins together, so they’ll be looking to buck the trend here and make a concerted effort to get into the top three. They have only drawn one game all season and will need to maybe turn the odd defeat into a draw to achieve a European place.

As things stand, Energetyk are two places and three points better off than Dynamo, so there’s plenty at stake here as they too look to keep their European dream alive. They do have to quickly clear their heads though after losing 1-0 to bottom-of-the-table Belshina last weekend.

So, with the visitors desperate not to lose three on the spin, they’ll look to keep it very tight and this definitely brings the draw into play.

Pick: Dynamo Minsk & Energetyk to draw (+283)
