All odds taken June 18

Pick 1: Neman Grodno vs Dinamo Brest

Neman Grodno are the league’s most in-form team and have now won five on the spin – a fine run of form. This has lifted them up to fourth in the table; just one place and two points behind Saturday’s visitors. A win and they replace Brest in third and with just one home defeat all season this is a possibility.

Dinamo – last season’s champions – have had an inconsistent campaign by their high standards but are still in third and in touching distance of leaders BATE. They’re not giving their title up without a fight and that makes this top-four clash potentially pivotal for their season.

The +225 on offer for the Neman win is tempting given their outstanding form, but Brest will set their stall out not to get beaten. Therefore, there’s value with the draw.

Pick: Neman and Dinamo to draw (+250)

Pick 2: Torpedo BelAZ vs Vitebsk

Vitebsk’s home win over FC Minsk last weekend took them up to seventh and to the edge of the battle for the European places. They’re now only four points behind Dinamo Brest in third and so are in with a great chance of being in the mix. Only two away defeats so far this season suggests they’ll come into this one with some belief.

Torpedo have some great home form to fall back on though and a 4-1-1 record, in which they have only conceded four home goals, shows how difficult Vitebsk’s task is. Torpedo are not big scorers but their game is around keeping it tight and eking out low-scoring wins

So, while I expect it to be tight, and for Vitebsk to play well, I see a narrow home win, possibly a 1-0.

Pick: Torpedo to win (-105)

Pick 3: Energetyk-BGU vs Slavia Mozyr

Energetyk’s 0-0 draw at home with Dynamo Minsk last weekend saw them lose ground with those at the top and they’ll be hoping to put things right against Slavia on Friday. As things stand, they are just three points behind second-placed Shakhtar and seven behind leaders BATE, but more dropped points for the Students, especially at home, will see them drop further off the pace.

Slavia’s win over lowly Smolevichi gave them a timely boost and revived a run that had seen them drop out of the top half of the table – a disappointment after a bright start to the campaign. But, in their favor, is a decent away record from which they have won three of their seven games.

Whether they have enough in the tank remains to be seen, although it is worth noting that The Students have lost two of their six home games. For this one, I’m going for broke and there is something very enticing about the +280 on offer for the away win.

Pick: Slavia to win (+280)
