The latest Bundesliga odds are heavily favoring Bayern Munich at -550 to lift their 10th consecutive title.

Bayern Coming Back Stronger

The reigning champions have been dominating Germany for years and after a key addition in the summer window, they’re tipped to do so again. Hansi Flick left for the national team, with Nagelsmann taking over the managerial duties. His beautiful style of football was on full display over the last two seasons at Leipzig and it should translate perfectly to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern brought in Nagelsmann’s former player, center-back Dayot Upamecano. He blossomed into one of the best young defenders in the Bundesliga at Leipzig and will give Munich more stability at the back, especially with the departures of Jerome Boateng and David Alaba.

The Bavarians’ attack is expected to be lethal as usual, with Robert Lewandowski leading the line. The Pole is coming off a historic campaign where he broke Gerd Muller’s single-season goal record, netting 41 times for the club. Across all competitions, Bayern’s talisman bagged 48 goals.

In 2020/21, the German giants were vulnerable at times because of their high press tendencies. Nagelsmann’s focus on both attacking and defensive solidity will be a huge benefit in this aspect alone. Frankly, there is no one in the Bundesliga who is a serious threat to Bayern winning another trophy in 2022.

Dortmund Looking to Make Some Noise

The Black and Yellows lost a key player in the summer, with Jadon Sancho trading a Dortmund shirt for the red of Manchester United. There were also rumors that Erling Haaland could leave for Chelsea, but the Norwegian will ultimately stay put for another year at the very least.

Rose is in charge at Signal Iduna Park now after two years at the helm with Monchengladbach, where he led the club to a round of 16 appearance in the Champions League last season.

BVB has added a promising talent in Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven, who netted 19 times in the Eredivisie last term. He should get his fair share of minutes up top with Haaland. Speaking of BVB’s superstar, he wreaked havoc in 2020/21, scoring 27 goals in league play alone.

The 21-year-old already got off to a rocking start, notching a hat-trick in the side’s first DFB-Pokal fixture last week. The success of Dortmund will come down to just how consistent Haaland is in the final third but considering his track record to this point, there’s little doubt he will be firing home goals at an uncanny rate once again.

Can Leipzig Replicate Last Season?

RB Leipzig finished one point ahead of Dortmund to secure second spot last season but they weren’t even close to winners Bayern, who sat 13 points above them. American boss Jesse March left sister club RB Salzburg to take over for Nagelsmann at Red Bull Arena. There will be an extremely different look at the back for Leipzig though, with both center-backs departing. Upamecano is now in Munich, while Ibrahima Konate jetted for Liverpool.

The side did add one of the Bundesliga’s most clinical strikers though, securing the signature of former Frankfurt hitman Andre Silva on a $25 million move. The Portuguese international scored a career-best 28 goals in 2020/21 for the Eagles and will be looking to replicate that form with his new club.

He’ll have no shortage of attacking threats alongside him either, with the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, Dani Olmo, and Emil Forsberg all coming off impressive campaigns. Leipzig shouldn’t have any problem scoring goals, but it’s going to be very tough to make up for the loss of two physically imposing defenders.

Bundesliga Best Bets

I have absolutely no doubts that Bayern will cruise to yet another title. The talent within their squad is unmatched and with a new gaffer coming in who is full of wisdom, it’s going to make them even better in all areas of the pitch.

However, there will be value in Dortmund as the winner without Bayern. Leipzig will be neck in neck with them, but I do believe BVB will edge their rivals out in this specific category.

Pick: Bayern to Win Title (-550), Dortmund to Win Without Bayern (-150)
