LA Galaxy vs Nashville Preview

The Galaxy make their long-awaited return to the playoffs, last qualifying in 2019 when they lost in the conference semifinals. It was definitely a respectable campaign for Greg Vanney’s side, showcasing a very impressive attack. Chicarito led the line with 18 goals, while fellow attacker Dejan Joveljic netted 11 times as well. Former Juventus man Douglas Costa was also a key contributor in the final third.

Los Angeles comes into Saturday in fantastic form, taking 10 points from their last four games. During that span, the side beat Colorado, San Jose, and most recently, Houston. Vanney’s group had an 8-5-4 record at home this term, too.

Nashville continues to impress in just their third season in the MLS, comfortably making the playoffs once again. The Yotes had a well-balanced squad in 2022, scoring 52 goals in 34 matches while conceding just 41. Hany Mukhtar is undoubtedly the star of the show for this club, just winning the Golden Boot after bagging 23 goals and tallying seven assists. Needless to say, he’ll be a key factor on Saturday.

Gary Smith’s side is in respectable shape at the moment too, tasting defeat just once in their previous five games. Their victory over top-seeded LAFC was definitely a confidence booster, with Teal Bunbury scoring a 53rd-minute winner for Nashville.

LA Galaxy vs Nashville Prediction

While these two clubs are relatively even in most areas, the visitors have an edge defensively with a rock-solid backline and a phenomenal keeper in Joe Willis. Pair that with Nashville’s playoff experience, and I’m liking them to knock off Los Angeles in the first round. The moneyline is massive value.

Pick: Nashville +300.
