Pick 1: England vs Belgium
An empty Wembley will play host to England versus Belgium, as two of FIFA’s top four – according to current rankings – go head to head. For England, who made the final of the 2019 Nations League tournament, this is a must-win if they are to progress to the final stages of this tournament.
Gareth Southgate’s men have been underwhelming so far in this season’s competition – a last-minute 1-0 win in Iceland was followed by a goalless draw in Denmark – and will be keen not to drop any more points. In their favor is a defense that is yet to concede a goal in this season’s Nations League, and it will take all of Belgium’s world-class superstars, Kevin de Bruyne and co, to break them down.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Harvey Barnes, and Bukayo Saka have all received their first call-ups to Southgate’s squad, with Calvert-Lewin getting his first international goal in Thursday’s 3-0 friendly win over Wales.
Tammy Abraham, Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell will be recalled to England's secure eco-bubble on Friday and are expected to be available for the upcoming Nations League games

The Belgians have made a much more positive start than England – back-to-back wins over Denmark (2-0) and Iceland (5-1) have put them in control of the group – and a squad that contains ten EPL players looks well equipped to make life difficult for England. Manager Roberto Martinez also knows the English team well and even without Eden Hazard, who’s still struggling with a muscle injury, the Belgiums look an almost-unstoppable force. They haven’t lost a game since November 2018 and it’s hard to see England changing that, but Southgate’s sound defense could see them earn a point.
Pick: England and Belgium to draw (+240)
Pick 2: France vs Portugal
World champions France beat Sweden 1-0 in Stockholm in their opening Nations League fixture and followed it up with an entertaining 4-2 win in Paris against Croatia in what was a repeat of the 2018 FIFA World Cup final. They look in good shape.
Portugal, winners of the 2019 UEFA Nations League and current Euro champions, sit top of Group A3; beating the Croatians 4-1 in their opening game, minus the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, and then Sweden 2-0 three days later with a fit-again Ronaldo scoring his 100th and 101st international goals.

With both teams having a 100% record, something has to give and it’s conceivable they could cancel each other out in a low-scoring draw, but with the French still in plus money, that, for me, is where the value lies.
Pick: France to win (+110)
Pick 3: Poland vs Italy
Poland and Italy go head-to-head in the Stadion Energa Gdansk in League A Group 1 – a group that’s wide open with no teams on a 100% record. The Poles lost 1-0 away to the Netherlands in their opener but responded well a few days later with a 2-1 in Bosnia. With the Dutch losing to Italy in their second game, the Poles are still very much in the mix.
The Azzurri opened with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Bosnia but, like the Poles, reacted well in their second game with the 1-0 win over the Netherlands.
While Italy starts as favorites, it’s worth noting that Poland have a great record in Gdansk, but the Azzurri are on a fine run – five wins and a draw in their last six – and, for me, will edge this by the odd goal.
Pick: Italy to win 1-0 (+600)
