Mariners vs Guardians Probable Pitchers
Overall, Mariners left-hander Robbie Ray isn’t working as effectively as he did last season for Toronto while winning the Cy Young. He certainly found his groove in August, though.
Ray was 3-0 over five starts for the month with a 1.64 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. He struck out 41 batters over 33 innings while walking just 11.

Mariners vs Guardians Prediction
The Mariners came to Cleveland riding a four-game winning streak. Now it’s five straight. They’re also 14-7 SU against AL Central opposition. That’s including taking three of four games from the Guardians at Seattle from Aug. 25-28.
Talked to Guardian's manager Terry Francona about the Mariners pitching staff. He was impressed after seeing Seattle last week. Said every Mariners pitcher can overwhelm you in some way.

Only the Dodgers and Astros have won more road games this season than Seattle. The Mariners (28-16) have also won more one-run games than any other MLB club. Seattle is also 56-1 SU when carrying a lead into the eighth inning. However, that one loss was to the Guardians.
Cleveland is 2-6 SU and against the runline over the past eight games. The Guardians have been shutout three times in the last five games and four times since August 20. They’re also 8-9 SU over the past 17 home games.
