It’s a busy day in the NBA on Tuesday, January 25th, with a total of nine contests on the slate. There’s no shortage of star power in action either, as LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers face the Brooklyn Nets, while Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers host the New Orleans Pelicans.

Embiid has the highest projected point total of the night, while Jokic’s over/unders expect the Serbian sensation to put up a double-double as he improves his NBA MVP odds. Despite not Lakers props being on the board as of publish time, Anthony Davis is expected to return – can he get himself back to contending in the DPOY odds?

Jokic Dominates the Pistons Again

The Joker is in the midst of another MVP caliber season and lately, he’s been really balling out. Jokic is averaging 33.5 points across his last four games and even erupted for 49 on January 19th against the Clippers. That being said, the Nuggets star has hit the over in all of these contests.

Jokic actually faced the Pistons on Sunday in the first game of a back-to-back between the two teams, leading Denver to a 117-111 win as he poured in 34 points in 36 minutes of action. Detroit is one of the worst teams in the Association and frankly has no one who can contain the Serb.

With the over/under at just 25.5, this is an absolute no-brainer. Expect The Joker to show out again on Tuesday and put in serious work as he looks to help his squad notch a second-straight victory.

Harden Takes on Scoring Role

The Nets welcome the Lakers to town on Tuesday, but both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are unavailable, which means the offense is going to strictly lay on James Harden’s shoulders. It’s no secret that he’s easily Brooklyn’s best playmaker, averaging 10.1 assists this season to go along with 22.7 points and eight rebounds.

However, this is a game where Harden will need to score the rock at a high level as well aside from getting his teammates involved.

Also, the veteran has only hit the over in assists in three of his last seven appearances. That line is at 12.5, while very steep and risky to bet on the over, especially since Harden has limited help around him.

The Lakers are also poor defensively, which means The Beard is going to take initiative and focus on draining buckets. He’ll still have his fair share of dimes, but it won’t be at the high rate like when his running mates in Kyrie and KD are wreaking havoc alongside him.
