If you are a NFL fan you know this week couldn’t pass without a little controversy involving Ray Lewis; whether there the murder story in Atlanta 13 years ago, or something else.  This time it was something else.
Sports illustrated has reported that Lewis used banned substances to help his tricep’s injury recovery. The linebacker was asked about it.

“Two years ago, it was the same report. I wouldn’t give that report or him any of my press. He’s not worthy of that. Next question,” Lewis said.

“Ray has been randomly tested for banned substances and has never failed a test. We have never been notified of a failed test. He has never been notified of a failed test,” Kevin Byrne, vice president of communications for the Ravens, said.

“Ray has worked incredibly hard to get back. I would hate to see anything diminish that,” coach John Harbaugh said. “My understanding is that he’s passed every random substance test that he’s taken throughout his career.”

Mitch Ross, a co-owner of Sports with Alternatives to Steroids (SWATS), told Sports Illustrated that he gave Lewis all the products he had to help him made the incredible comeback.

Lewis “used every product that I had”, said Ross on ESPN Radio.

“I even developed an armband that I developed to strengthen his triceps, and some liquid wraps that would help him heal as well,” he said.

The Ray Lewis most interested prop bet is the ‘Total solo + assisted tackles’ in the Super Bowl; the over and under is 11½.
