New England needs a win over Miami and a loss either from the Broncos or the Texans to get a bye week. Patriots and Dolphins will square off this Sunday at 4:25 PM in the NFL week 17.
The Pats lost the 49ers two weeks ago and were extremely close to lose against the Jaguars last Sunday.

“We’ve got to do a better job,” Tom Brady said Monday on WEEI radio. “We’ve got some pretty important weeks of football ahead, and that’s when we really need to play our best”.

“You can’t be totally oblivious to the possibilities that exist out there,” Bill Belichick said about the option to have a bye in the postseason. “There are quite a few possibilities. It’s really hard to be specific on something like that when there are so many possibilities.”

The Dolphins have nothing to play for, but they would love to go to vacation after upsetting the mighty Patriots in their field.

“We’re building a foundation that is going to deliver excellent football teams here in the future,” coach Joe Philbin said. “And it takes time.”

The Dolphins defense sacked Tom Brady four times and hit a few other; they expect to do the same. However, the difference in this game could be Miami’s offense.

“Our offense is really getting into a rhythm,” Reggie Bush said. “We hit a low point midway through the season where we were kind of struggling to run that ball, and I think that really hurt us. I feel like now we’ve kind of hit that stride where everybody is on the same page, our chemistry is good, our defense is playing well, and it feels good”.

The Patriots are 10 point favorites in the NFL odds.
