SGP Pick #1: Jalen Hurts Under 249.5 Passing Yards

One easy Super Bowl bet to make would be Philly QB Jalen Hurts’ passing yardage total. It’s a little hard to gauge what he’ll get based on him having a shoulder injury. Plus the game scripts in his first two playoff games not dictating many passes being required. Though he tossed for just 154 and 121 yards respectively against the Giants and 49ers, Philly was up big early versus the G-Men. They were then against a San Fran squad with no healthy quarterback in the NFC title game.

It stands to reason that the offense will be more wide-open as the Eagles are up against a team that’s capable of lighting up the scoreboard. That will force Hurts to pass more. KC, however, was ranked tied for second (with the Eagles) in pass coverage this season (according to Pro Football Focus). In Hurts’ last ten contests, he’s failed to toss for over 250 yards in all but two of those affairs.

SGP Pick #2: AJ Brown Under 79.5 Receiving Yards

With us selecting Jalen Hurts to not throw for a ton of yards, it would stand to reason that his top wideout perhaps won’t have a monster game either, at least in theory. As previously discussed, Philly didn’t throw the ball a ton in the two playoff contests, with Brown managing just 50 total yards in those two battles.

The Chiefs will be locked in on stopping the Eagles #1 threat through the air, which could lead to Hurts having to go to his second and third progressions to find others down the depth chart.

SGP Pick #3: Kenneth Gainwell Over 24.5 Rushing Yards

The Eagles’ offense will need to get cracking somehow, and on the ground is definitely where they could exploit the Chiefs’ 18th-ranked run D (PFF). They gave up 144 yards to the Jags in the AFC divisional round and 71 to the Bengals in the AFC Championship. Kenneth Gainwell has made the most of his opportunities in his two playoff tilts, blowing way over this total on both occasions.

In the NFC divisional round to the Giants, he racked up a strong 112 yards, then had 48 against the 49ers in the NFC Championship duel.
