It took until Week 7, but the Kansas City Chiefs have tumbled out of the top five in the latest Super Bowl odds.

Getting blasted by the Titans and sitting last in your own division at 3-4 will do that to you.

While Tampa takes sole possession of top spot, there’s plenty of percolation to note, including an oddity of a longshot wager you need to consider, involving none other than the Cincinnati Bengals.

Let’s run down the latest odds and take a look at the rising and falling stocks.

Chiefs Tumble

Perhaps the only good news coming out of another Chiefs’ disappointment is that Patrick Mahomes isn’t on the shelf with a more serious injury.

Other than that, it’s time to hit the panic button, after KC was routed by the Titans 27-3.

We now have the answer to the question of what the Chiefs look like if their offense isn’t all-world. The answer is horrific.

Mahomes tossed an interception in his sixth straight game, and also was also stripped after a lengthy run, part of three turnovers on the day, as the Chiefs posted their lowest scoring output since a 38-3 loss to Denver in 2012.

It looks as though Mahomes avoided a major injury when he took a knee to the head while being sacked by Denico Autry.

Once the Super Bowl favorite, KC has now dropped to sixth-best title odds at +1100.

They’re going to need to go on some kind of run to erase this uneven start, but with a 1-4 mark against the AFC this year, with losses to Baltimore, the LA Chargers, Buffalo and the Titans, they’re down in almost all conceivable tie-breakers. So while there’s value here, tread lightly.

Cards Cruise

All the Cardinals keep doing is whipping whoever is put in front of them. They remain the NFL’s lone unbeaten team, blasting the Houston Texans 31-5. It seems they’re somewhat properly placed now, sitting at the third best Super Bowl odds at +850, trailing just the Bills and Bucs.

They’ve got a biggie Thursday against the Packers, who haven’t lost since Week 1, but if they can escape unscathed, there’s a sweet patch of winnable games that includes the 49ers, Panthers, Seahawks and Bears.

They could potentially be 12-0 staring down a matchup with the Rams, which could very well be an NFC title preview.

And if Kyler Murray didn’t have enough weapons to light up the scoreboard, newly acquired Zach Ertz looked rejuvenated on a 47-yard catch and run score in his first game with his new club.

If you haven’t yet laid a wager on ‘Zona, you should.

Buying Bengals?

Perhaps it’s the fact that we know what we have in the Chiefs, but somehow, you still need a telescope to find the AFC North-leading Cincinnati Bengals’ (note: not a type) Super Bowl odds.

Even after an absolute 41-17 thrashing of the Baltimore Ravens in their own barn (snapping their division rivals’ 5-game winning streak), they sit at +4400 odds.

While that is an improvement from last week’s +7500 entry, the Bengals haven’t been fluking: they have won four of their last five games.

Is it time to call the Offensive Rookie of the Year race now? Ja’Marr Chase is lapping the field after an 8-grab, 201-yard day that also included his sixth TD grab on the year.

His big-play ability has created openings that tight end CJ Uzomah is maxing out: he’s got five TD’s in his last four games, including two against the Ravens.

Joe Burrow isn’t even close to fully formed, but in this wacky NFL season, the Bengals have shown enough for a flier.

Music City March

On the other end of that KC loss was the Titans, who improved to 5-2 and showed for the first time that they don’t always need Derrick Henry to blow games open (though it doesn’t hurt).

With Henry held to 86 yards on 29 carries, Ryan Tannehill played his best game of the year, going 21-for-27 for 270 yards and a TD, while also running one in.

He connected with AJ Brown eight times for 133 yards and a score, while Julio Jones was one of five other receivers with at least two grabs on the day.

The Titans have now beaten the Bills and Chiefs in back-to-back weeks, and that’s no easy feat. It’s no surprise their odds have spiked, going from +3400 to +1700, now the ninth-best odds in the NFL.

Odds and Ends

No Baker Mayfield was no problem for the Browns, and their Thursday night win in Denver helped improve their odds from +2000 to +1900.

The home thumping the Ravens took dropped their odds slightly from +900 to +1000. Hard to ding them any harder when they’re sitting at 5-2 with signature wins over both the Chiefs and Chargers.

Could the next big leaper be the Las Vegas Raiders? After more off field uncertainty in their midweek than some franchises have in their entire offseason, the Raiders have now clubbed both the Broncos and Eagles since Jon Gruden stepped down as head coach after Week 5.

Vegas cruised to a 33-22 win over the Eagles, a score that made the game appear way closer than it really was. Vegas improved to 5-2, and jumped from +6000 odds to +4500 in the Super Bowl odds.

Believe in them? There might not be a better time than now to wager. But sprinkle sparingly: after a winnable one against the Giants, the Raiders play the Chiefs, Bengals and Cowboys. You’ll find out really quickly how that bet is going to look.
