Winning streaks will be on the line when the Los Angeles Rams battle the injury-plagued Tennessee Titans on Sunday Night Football as 7-point home favorites. The Rams have rocketed to the top of the NFC West standings, and near the top of the Super Bowl odds, while storming to a 7-1 start.
The Titans enjoy a comfortable lead atop the AFC South, but must get used to life without star rusher Derrick Henry, who has been sidelined indefinitely by a serious foot injury.

Titans vs Rams Line Movement
Sunday night’s matchup marks the first meeting between these two teams since December 2017, and the Titans’ first road date with the Rams since the team relocated to Los Angeles in 2016. The Rams eked out a 27-23 win in their most recent clash, and have posted SU wins in five of eight meetings. However, it is the Titans that have consistently rewarded loyal sports bettors during a steady 5-0-1 run against the spread when facing the Rams.

The OVER has also enjoyed a steady 6-1-0 run over their past seven meetings. However, the total was pegged at greater than 46.0 just once during that stretch. With the Titans facing some serious injury woes, the Rams have gained ground since opening as 6-point home chalk, while the total has steadily declined since opening at 52.5.
Titans Outlook
The big question facing the Titans is how they will respond to the loss of injured star rusher Derrick Henry. The reigning two-time NFL rushing yards and rushing touchdown leader had been enjoying another dominant campaign, leading the league again in both categories before being injured in last weekend’s win over Indianapolis. Tennessee has dug deep to fill the void, signing former MVP Adrian Peterson earlier this week.

The 36-year-old spent last season in Detroit, and is three years removed from his last 1000-yard season. That raises obvious concerns about how game-ready the three-time rushing yards leader will be this weekend. And faced with a stingy Rams rush defence that has limited opponents to fewer than 100 rushing yards in four of their past six outings, Peterson offers limited value as a -115 bet to run for more than 32.5 yards on Sunday night.
The #Titans are signing RB Adrian Peterson to the active roster today, source says. This is not a weekly practice-squad elevation. This is a permanent move to the active roster. He’s impressed them that quickly that it’s go time already.

Adding to the Titans’ concerns are the continued injury woes among their receiving corps. Tennessee hopes to have Julio Jones back in the lineup after missing his second game of the season last weekend with a hamstring injury. However, the status of wideout AJ Brown remains in doubt after he missed practice on Friday while nursing a knee injury. That complicates matters for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who tossed for three scores last weekend, but has racked up just 10 total TDs against seven picks this season.
Rams Outlook
After beating up on lightweight opponents in each of their past three contests, the Rams face a stiffer test against Tennessee, even without Henry. With QBMatthew Stafford powering the attack, Los Angeles has averaged over 32 points per game during its current 4-0 run, with Stafford connecting on 10 total scoring passes over the past three weeks.
Concerns do linger over Stafford’s health after he was held out of practice this week with a nagging back injury, before being cleared on Friday to play in Week 9.

And while the Titans scramble to fill holes in their lineup, the Rams took a step towards beefing up their defensive line by acquiring Von Miller form Denver earlier this week. The Super Bowl 50 MVP has recorded 19 tackles and 4.5 sacks so far this season, but remains a game-time decision to make his Los Angeles debut on Sunday.
Sean McVay tells reporters that OLB Von Miller will be a "game-time decision" against the Titans as he continues to recover from an ankle sprain. Will be officially listed as questionable.

But even without Miller, the Rams’ defence remains formidable. Los Angeles has limited all opposing quarterbacks not named Tom Brady to fewer than 280 passing yards so far this season, and has piled up 11 total sacks and six picks while allowing just three scoring passes over the past three weeks.
