Week 6 Passing Props – Joe Burrow Passing Touchdowns

Could I be putting too much stock into one game from Joe Burrow here backing him again in the Week 6 player props? Possibly. Burrow had three passing scores last week and 317 yards, but he had only two passing touchdowns in the four games prior and his previous high had been 259 yards, while failing to even hit 200 yards twice.

However, he looked good in Week 5 and now he gets the Seahawks pass defense that ranks 30th in passing yards allowed giving up an average of 280. So far Matthew Stafford has thrown for 334 yards, Jared Goff 323, Andy Dalton 361 and Daniel Jones 203 against them.

Burrow is looking healthy again, Chase is heating up and Tee Higgins could return from injury. Let’s back Burrow to throw for at least two touchdowns in our Week 6 props.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Joe Burrow over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-140); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 6 Passing Props – Kirk Cousins Pass Attempts

Anytime you’re looking at passing props you have to consider quarterbacks who are in good form, teams that throw a lot and opponents that give up a tone of yards.

Well Minnesota vs Chicago looks to check all of those boxes.

Kirk Cousins is second in quarterback passing yards behind Tua Tagovailoa. The Vikings average the most passing plays for game at 40.8 while also averaging the fewest rushing attempts per game at 18.2. And finally, their opponents this week, the Bears, give up the second-highest passing yards per game at 286.

There is one big glaring concern and that is the omission of the league’s top wide receiver Justin Jefferson who has been placed on IR with a hamstring injury. That’s a big concern as he’s the Vikings top target and someone who would eat up a lot of yards in a Cousins passing prop. But that doesn’t mean Cousins will stop throwing the ball around. He just may have less completions. So we’ll instead back his passing attempts in our props.

So far Cousins has attempted 44, 44, 50, 19 and 47 passing attempts in five games.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Kirk Cousins over 33.5 passing attempts (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 6 Rushing Props – Kenneth Walker III Rushing Yards

As poor as the Seahawks are against the pass, the Bengals have been every bit as bad against the run. In fact, they are almost the worst, coming in at 31st in rushing yards allowed per game, giving up 154.

Seattle averages the tied-14th highest yards per carry (4.4) while the Bengals allow the third-highest yards per rush (5.3).

While no one player gashed the Bengals on the ground last week, it was more a run-by-committee approach where multiple players found success. The Cardinals put up 145 yards on the ground with three players finishing with 45 yards or more. The week prior Derrick Henry, exploded versus Cincy for 121 yards.

So this week it could be Kenneth Walker’s turn. Walker’s rushing totals have been 64, 43, 97 and 79. He’s been rather quiet as a receiver but did have 59 yards receiving versus the Panthers. With five touchdowns in his last three games, Seattle will surely continue to hand the ball off to Walker versus the Bengals in Week 6.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Kenneth Walker III over 66.5 rushing yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 6 Receiving Props – Ja’Marr Chase Receiving Yards

The same thing I said about Burrow, could hold true for Ja’Marr Chase as well. He had three touchdowns last week, but those are his only three on the season. He had also only topped the 100-yard mark once before last week’s 192 yard performance.

Still, he’s been slowly heating up going 12/15 (141 yards), 7/9 (73 yards) and 15/19 (192 yards) in his past three games.

And he too should find plenty of space in a very weak Seahawks secondary to pick up from where he left off last week. If we’re backing Burrow in our Week 6 player props, we have to back a Bengals receiver and Chase is our guy this week.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Ja’Marr Chase over 85.5 receiving yards (-120); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 6 Receiving Props – Dallas Goedert Receptions

The Eagles are 7-point road favorites over the Jets and one of the ways they will likely look to attack New York will be over the middle of the field.

They Jets have allowed 289 yards, 27 receptions and five touchdowns to opposing tight ends.

That’s the ninth-most yards, eighth- most catches and the most touchdowns. Eagles’ TE Dallas Goedert may well be in line to find the endzone this week as well. However, while he did do so last week, to add with 117 yards and eight catches, that was his only score this season.

He has finished with five or more catches in three of his last four games.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Dallas Goedert over 3.5 receptions (-145); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 6 Touchdown Props – Tyreek Hill Anytime TD

Finally, we’ll round out our Week 6 player props with our top touchdown prop bets for Sunday here.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The Dolphins were huge favorites over the Giants last week and they put up 31 points. Tyreek Hill went off for 181 yards and a touchdown, cashing our Hill anytime TD prop pick.

This week, the Fins are again expected to smash another team. This time it’s the Panthers who are 0-5 and giving up the fifth-most points per game at 28.8.

Hill now has five touchdowns on the year, has scored in four of five games and looks primed for another big day in Week 6 versus Carolina.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Tyreek Hill anytime touchdown (-145); risk 1 unit at DraftKings
