The Anaheim Ducks look to keep their momentum going as they head to Dallas to face the Stars, in the only game programmed for Friday night.  The contest will start at 8:30 PM ET.

The Ducks are 7-1-1 this season leading Pacific Division with 15 points.  Their last win was a 3-0 affair against the Colorado Avalanche as Viktor Fasth has quickly gone from unknown in the net as a goalie that might be putting a season for the ages. He’s stopped 101 of 105 shots.

“He’s giving me confidence that I never knew I’d have in him when he came over,” said Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau, whose team won its fourth straight game. “It’s a great, pleasant surprise that Viktor has come over and played so well.”

“It’s nothing you go and think about. You just try to do your best and help the team out as much as you can,” Fasth said. “I’m really glad I had (the shutout). It’s a little bonus. Most important thing is we got the win and started off this road trip really good.”

The Stars will have a hard time beating this guy as they are the 28th ranked scoring team in the NHL averaging just 2.0 goals a game. At least they are coming with a two game winning streak.

“I liked the win in overtime, but I didn’t like the response after our two goals,” Dallas coach Glen Gulutzan said about his team beating the Oilers in OT. “We kept on turning the puck over and over and putting the game in jeopardy. Until we realize that we are a team that has to grind out games — and even if it gets dicey out there, we have to play a certain way — we’re not going to get traction. We have to learn to do a better job.”

Dallas have won the last three games in the series against Anaheim with a combined of 9 to 2 goals.
