The Pittsburgh Penguins were crushed by the New York Islanders on Tuesday, now they will have to face the Rangers on Thursday, and they will try to bounce back as they clash at Madison Square Garden at 7 PM ET.

Pittsburgh loss against the Islanders was a 4-1 in the scoreboard. “I’m not sure if we’re pressing early, and then it doesn’t happen, and you get away from things,” Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby said. “As you see tonight, we get a couple bad bounces, ended up down early and seems like we let that frustration kind of get to us.”

“We definitely deflated ourselves with the power play,” Pittsburgh’s James Neal said. “But we’ve just got to have a better effort all over the ice, 5-on-5 and we just didn’t have it tonight.”

The Penguins better have on Thursday night as they will face a Rangers team that is getting their swagger back after beating the Flyers 2-1.

“Cally does everything so well — the little plays, especially blocking shots,” said Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto, said about Ryan Callahan. “The guys did a good job of gathering ourselves after he went off with that injury.”

“We’re trying to keep our game consistent,” Del Zotto said. “I thought last game we did a great job trying to gain our identity back. We followed up with, maybe it wasn’t the prettiest at times, but we found a way to win”.

Pittsburgh has won five games in a row in the series against the Rangers.  The Penguins are listed +110 and Rangers -121 in the moneyline.
