Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, the two neighbors, clash this Friday at 3:30 PM ET at the Copa Del Rey final at Santiago Bernabeu, in an attempt to save the season.

Real is the favorite but also the one obligated to win as they are playing this match at their home stadium and haven’t lost to Atletico since 1999; there have been 25 games since the ‘colchoneros’ beat the ‘merengues’.

“It’s going to be a strange final as we’re playing in our stadium, but the fans will be divided 50/50, but that isn’t going to take away our ambition to win this Cup,” commented Cristiano Ronaldo about Friday’s game.

“We know that the stadium will be divided. Let’s hope that the best team wins. If we go out on the pitch strong and we play as we know how, we’re going to win”, he added.

Real lost ‘La Liga’ months ago and they have eleven years without winning the Champions League; the Copa Del Rey is a good Cup, but it doesn’t save the season for the winningest team in the world.

“We’re very excited about this trophy, and we want to win. We know it’s going to be a really hard-fought game against a rival from the same city”, CR7 concluded.

Since 2009, Atletico hasn’t even tied a game against Real Madrid. The streak is big, and it seems like the right place and date to end it is this Friday.

Real Madrid is listed -210 to win the Cup; Atletico +500 and the draw over 120 minutes pay +300.
