The public is favoring the underdog Rams to cover the two-point spread, with 74% of bets on them. 83% of Rams vs 49ers public betting trends are pointing to wagers on LA to win on the moneyline, and a 64% of bets placed on the over 42.5 points.
49ers Moneyline
Certain coaches just have a number on other ones, and that has been the case for Kyle Shanahan over Sean McVay – at least until the postseason. Since the 2019 campaign, the 49ers have swept all six regular season contests against the Rams.
Of course, the big caveat is that LA finally got the better of them in last year’s NFC Championship game by three points. In the six previous matchups, San Fran won by an average of 8.5 points.

Our model has this game going much the same as those six regular season tilts, with the Niners predicted to win 13.0-7.8 over the Rams. So far this year, McVay and co. lost by 21 points to Buffalo, and didn’t blow out Atlanta and Arizona, taking those games by four and eight points respectively.
San Fran will be desperate for a victory to ensure all four NFC West teams are at 2-and-2. They lost by nine in Chicago in Week 1 with Trey Lance at the helm, then crushed Seattle by 20, and lost a one-point low-scoring affair against Denver. Let’s stick to the trend of the Niners getting the better of their NFC West rivals in the regular season.
Jimmy Garoppolo Over 221.5 Passing Yards
In his first start on the 2022 docket in Week 3, Jimmy Garoppolo failed to put up big yardage against a stout Denver defense (ranked fourth in coverage by Pro Football Focus). Jimmy G was only able to muster 211 yards through the air as his squad lost 11-10 and lost OT Trent Williams to injury, who finds himself on the Rams vs 49ers injury report this week.
However, that stat line is an anomaly for Garoppolo in terms of yardage, recently, and also against the Rams.
TD pass on 4th & 6 from Jimmy Garoppolo to Deebo Samuel to extend the lead to 31-7 in the fourth quarter of the Week 10 win over the Rams
One of the best balls I’ve seen Garoppolo throw. The placement and timing were impeccable, and this throw essentially put the game away pic.twitter.com/QfmNg0WSMK

He’s gone over the listed 221.5 passing yards in six of seven all-time meetings versus his divisional foes, and he’s also done it six of his last seven overall regular season games. The Rams have allowed passers to go over that total in five of their last six games (including Jimmy G.) dating back to last year’s postseason.
Deebo Samuel Over 56.5 Receiving Yards
For the purposes of this Rams vs 49ers same-game parlay, it would stand to reason that if we think Garoppolo will throw for a lot of yards, it would be smart to attach that with his best wide receiver to catch those passes. Enter Deebo Samuel, who had five receptions (on eight targets), for 73 yards against Denver.
Deebo Samuel’s Career Stats vs the Rams (including playoffs):
— 6-1 record
— 48 targets, 37 receptions, 512 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 1 passing touchdown
— 25 rushing attempts, 130 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdownsExcited to see what he has in store for MNF. pic.twitter.com/Bn68mrkR1D

Samuel torches the 49ers, as this has been his receiving yardage totals in his last five meetings with them – 66, 133, 97, 95, 72. Look for San Fran to get him involved early and often to set the tone early.
He must definitely be considered in your Rams vs 49ers prop picks with Garoppolo looking his way to toss the ball in space and potentially have him run one to the house.
