Chargers vs Raiders Same Game Parlay Thursday Night Football Predictions

The total for this game is set at a low 34.5 in the football betting lines. It doesn’t help that the Chargers are without starting quarterback Justin Herbert on the Chargers vs Raiders injury report with an index finger injury. Or that current Raiders’ starting and rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw for just 171 yards on 32 pass attempts last week in a 3-0 loss to the Vikings.

The Chargers fared no better in losing 24-7 at home to the Broncos.

Both of those games fell easily under their totals last week and both teams have been cashing Under tickets all season. In fact these two teams, alongside Pittsburgh and Minnesota, are tied for the highest Under rate this season at 10-3.

Look when a team holds a team to just three points, while at home and still loses, it’s hard to get too excited about backing said team in any way shape or form the following week.

Except that it can’t get worse. You can only score more than zero points the week after. The Chargers could still get worse. And their offense had been spiralling for weeks even with Herbert under center. They’ve now scored 7, 6 and 10 points in the past three weeks.

Can Easton Stick improve things? Maybe. He can’t be much worse.

But he’s a 2019 fifth round pick who has a grand total of 25 pass attempts for 183 yards and zero touchdowns. Of those 183 yards, 179 came last week.

The Chargers play in a ton if close games. Eight of their games have been decided by seven points or less. Including an earlier meeting with the Raiders this season where they won 24-17 in LA. They lost 20-10 Baltimore recently, but that game would’ve ended 13-10 if not for a late meaningless score while the Ravens were running out the clock.

This is more a bet against LA, that even if they win, it won’t be by more than four points.

Both Josh Jacobs and Devante Adams are questionable for Las Vegas, so too is Keenan Allen for Los Angeles so we’re running out of players to target here.  We do know Jakobi Meyers will be playing so let’s play his receiving totals in the Chargers vs Raiders props.

Meyers hasn’t put up huge yardage of late with just 25, 79 and 49 yards in his past three games and his season-high was 85 yards way back on September 24. He only had 33 yards versus the Chargers in October and since that 88-yard game he’s only entered the 70-yard range twice in his last ten games. But he has finished with 5, 6 and 4 receptions in his past three games.

The Chargers have given up the fourth-most passing yards and have allowed the fifth-most touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. With limited options out there if Adams doesn’t go, Meyers should see plenty of action tonight.
