Old rivals will be featured in the opening NFL SNF matchup, which has the New York Giants playing host to the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC East battle. Both teams were postseason qualifiers in 2022 and will be looking for a successful start to the campaign en route to another return to the playoffs.

The NFL betting trends are leaning toward the visitors from Dallas to come away with the victory. That’s certainly understandable. The Cowboys are 5-1 straight up in their last six visits to face New York’s NFC team at MetLife Stadium.

Our SNF same-game parlay is built around a Dallas victory in this contest. It’s also counting on Cowboys quarterback going deep to CeeDee Lamb and at least once being picked off by a Giants defender.

Dallas Cowboys Moneyline

It’s not an overstatement to say that the Dallas Cowboys have owned the New York Giants for the majority of the 2010s. Last season, the Cowboys were victorious in both meetings. Dallas won 28-20 at home and took at 23-16 verdict at MetLife Stadium.

Overall, the Cowboys are winners of four in a row against the Giants. They’ve won 11 of the last 12 games between the two teams, as well as five of the last six played at MetLife Stadium.

It’s been six games since the Giants were able to put more than 20 points up on the board in a game against Dallas. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are averaging 30 points per game in their last 10 contests against the Giants.

The Cowboys are 9-4 SU in their last 13 games against an NFC opponent. In New York, the Giants are showing a dismal 2-7-1 SU slate in the last 10 games when facing NFC opposition.

CeeDee Lamb Longest Reception Over 23.5 Yards

Last season, Lamb was well down the list among receivers when it came to average yards per catch. He was good for just 12.7 yards per reception.

However, he was also capable of getting on the end of some long receptions throughout the 2022 campaign. Lamb was a chunk yardage receiver.

In the Cowboys vs Giants player props, the total yardage for Lamb’s longest reception prop is set at 23.5 yards. He went over that number in 11 of 17 games during the 2022 season.

That included both games against the Giants. In Week 3 at MetLife Stadium, Lamb caught eight balls for 87 yards, including a 26-yard longest reception. At Dallas in the Thanksgiving Day win over the Giants during Week 12, Lamb snared a 25-yard catch among his six pass receptions for 106 yards.

Dak Prescott Over 0.5 Interceptions

In just 12 games last season, Dallas QB Prescott was picked off an NFL-high 15 times. It’s the second season in a row and third time in four years that he’s thrown double digits in interceptions.

Prescott boldly stated prior to the season that he won’t be intercepted 10 times during the 2023 season. There’s been talk of Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy shifting to more of a conservative game management mode for the team’s offensive scheme this season.

That being the case, will Prescott be able to avoid throwing a pick against the Giants? He was picked off twice in his only appearance against them last season. The New York defense has intercepted Prescott at least once in four of the past five games that they’ve faced the Dallas QB.

As he enters his eighth NFL season, only the Philadelphia Eagles (eight) have intercepted Prescott more frequently than the Giants (seven).
